Unintentional weight loss in older cats is a very common presenting sign and strongly associated with chronic disease. Senior cats may present with co-morbidities making diagnosis and treatment much more challenging. In this webinar we will discuss common co-morbidities in senior cats including renal disease, hyperthyroidism, cardiac disease, neoplasia, chronic enteropathies and dental disease. Diagnostic tests must be chosen appropriately to minimise morbidity and avoid over or under diagnosis and also to allow treatment to be started at the earliest opportunity. The difficulties encountered when treating multi-morbidities will also be discussed.
