Pelvic Fractures – Surgical Therapy

In this one-day practical course we will cover the diagnosis, classification and clinical decision making in common types of pelvic fractures as well as subluxation of the ilio-sacral joint. In particular we will focus on reduction and fixation of ilial body fractures and open reduction and fixation of the ilio-sacral joint luxation.

• 11:00-12:30 Theoretical introduction: “Surgical therapy of ilio-sacral joint luxation”
• 12:30-13:30 Lunch break (lunch included)
• 13:30-17:30 Wet-Lab: Open reduction and fixation of ilial body fractures, open reduction and fixation of the ilio-sacral joint
