Bird flu or avian influenza (AI) is a collective term for different influenza viruses that may be dangerous to poultry. The threat of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreaks in poultry remains high, with several poultry farms becoming infected in recent years.
Very recently it occurred in The Netherlands in Moergestel (Noord Brabant) on the 5th of January at a farm with turkeys. During this webinar about avian influenza two scientists whose expertise is in zoonoses will give the latest update in their research about bird flu.
